What Are HD Brows?

HD Brows is a bespoke eyebrow treatment that is totally tailored to you – not a brow stencil in sight. It’s so much more than a standard eyebrow tint and wax; our expertly trained stylists combine our unique design formula with custom-blended colour, hair removal and make up application for brows that suit you. Our stylists work with you to create your perfect look, whether your wish to tame bushy brows or regrow overplucked eyebrows.

What is an HD Brows treatment?

We differ to many other eyebrow treatments as we don’t believe in a one-shape-fits-all ethos. Brows are as individual as fingerprints and so each step of the HD Brows treatment is completely bespoke from the personal consultation, shape design, tailoring and aftercare process. There’s also the option of an HD Brows Express treatment so, if you’re short on time or just need a tidy up in between regular appointments, you can keep those bespoke brows fresh.

How long do HD Brows last?

The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.

How much are HD Brows?

Prices start at £25 and vary depending on the salon you visit and the skill level of your stylist. Contact your local HD Brows stylist directly to discover what price they charge. You can find your local HD Brows stylist here.

How long does HD Brows take?

The HD Brows treatment usually takes around 45 minutes, but we would suggest allowing an hour for the treatment. In a rush? Visit your local HD Brows master stylist for an express treatment which takes just 15 minutes.

HD Brows treatment process

From brushed up brows to neat and defined, choosing the right brow look can be difficult. That’s why every HD Brows treatment starts with a consultation where our Stylists help you based on your face shape, skin tone and of course, your style.

Unlike a regular eyebrow tint, we’ll apply the tint around the brow to pick up those fair and fluffy hairs you didn’t even realise where there. We custom-blend our bespoke HD Brow Dyes to create the perfect tone to complement your skin tone, hair tone and overall style.

Your stylist will begin to create your dream eyebrow shape through waxing, using our exclusive design formula. They’ll keep in mind any areas where you may want to re-grow hair, working towards your long-term brow goals.

Next, your stylist will create a smooth, neat finish with threading. In the HD Brows treatment, we use threading to remove any fluffy hairs above and below the brow to ensure there’s no tell-tale signs of waxing.

Tweezing and finishing

We’re perfectionists, so this is where we work to make those fresh brows even fresher. If necessary, your stylist will tweeze any stray hairs, trim unruly hairs down and create a finish that suits your style using our brow make up range.

Your stylist will finish the treatment with some aftercare advice to help you maintain your results, along with some product recommendations. This is especially important if you’re on a re-growth programme, working towards your dream brows.

Why choose HD Brows?

When you choose an HD Brows stylist, you know you’re in safe hands. Our stylists have attended an intensive training course and know everything there is to know about brows.

We understand that perfect brows might not be created in one appointment. This is why HD Brows stylist will put together a re-growth programme with your ideal eyebrow shape in mind.

Your stylist can tailor the treatment to meet your needs with HD Brows Express. Whether it’s threading to tidy up fast re-growth or a wax and tint when you’re short on time, there’s always a solution to your eyebrow dilemma.

HD Brows BrowSculpt

BrowSculpt is brow lamination with a bespoke HD Brows twist. Whether you dream of achieving that full, fluffy eyebrow look, want to create symmetry in uneven brows or tame unruly hairs, our BrowSculpt brow lamination treatment is for you. This corrective treatment helps you to achieve your desired position for up to 6 weeks.

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination is a two-step eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. In the first step, a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. In the second step, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position.

If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape. Brow lamination lasts 4 to 6 weeks generally, with proper care allowing the brow treatment to last as long as 8 weeks.

If this new on-trend & in-demand technique isn’t enough, eyebrow lamination forms just part of our full BrowSculpt treatment (see the full BrowSculpt treatment process). Our corrective eyebrow treatment realigns your brow hairs into your desired position, making them much easier to manipulate. It can also help to achieve instantly fuller looking eyebrows using your existing hair. Whether you want to correct your shape, lift the hairs, or both of these options, here are the benefits of our bespoke take on the brow lamination treatment.

The results using our BrowsSculpt product technology can dramatically enhance the shape of your eyebrows, helping you to achieve your dream brows in as little as one treatment. It’s ideal if you want to change your full brow shape, but did you know that our treatment can be tailored to correct smaller targeted unruly areas? Our stylists are trained to offer brow lamination in specific areas that suit your brow needs, perfect if you just want to add symmetry.

From an extreme brushed up look to a subtle lift (and everything in between), your brows will appear fuller in an instant using your existing

How long does brow lamination last?

The results of a brow lamination treatment usually last up to six weeks. To ensure longevity from your treatment results, avoid getting them wet for 24 hours and contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours. Using a conditioning eyebrow serum every day will also help to maintain results. Read our full brow lamination aftercare guide for more info.

How much does brow lamination cost?

The price of an HD BrowSculpt treatment is £60 including an HD Brow Treatment Serum.

How long does a brow lamination take?

The brow lamination process can take up to 12 minutes, however, other tinting and hair removal techniques are incorporated into the treatment. When brow lamination is incorporated into the HD Brows treatment, it should take roughly 55 minutes.

How to look after brow lamination in the first 24/48 hours after treatment

As part of your eyebrow lamination aftercare, it is crucial that you:

  • Avoid getting the brow area wet for 24 hours
  • Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours
  • Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours

We also recommend that you follow these guidelines in the run up to and the days after your BrowSculpt treatment:

  • Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment
  • Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint (unless you’re after khaki coloured brows)
  • Your stylist will apply some make up at the end of your treatment, however you should avoid applying any further heavy make up (foundations, etc) on the area around the brow for 24 hours

How do I keep my brows in shape after brow lamination?

  • Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last for 6-8 weeks.
  • To really enhance laminated brows and maintain that freshly laminated look right up to your next appointment, an ultra-strong eyebrow gel like Brow Glueis a must have.

Can I get my laminated brows wet?

You should avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours after your treatment. Coming into contact with water could interfere with the lamination process and impact the longevity of your treatment. Avoid swimming pools and baths for 24 hours and be extra careful in the shower and when washing your face (avoiding if possible).

Can I wear makeup after brow lamination?

Your stylist will apply some make up to complete your BrowSculpt treatment. After that, we recommend that you avoid applying any heavy make up around the brow (such as foundation or concealer) for 24 hours after. The hair follicles can remain open for a while after hair removal, so if you are prone to sensitivity or breakouts, you may find that heavy make up could clog the pores.

Can I go on a sunbed after brow lamination?

After hair removal, the skin can be left sensitive and prone to irritation from heat. For this reason, you should avoid sunbeds for at least 48 hours after your brow lamination treatment.

How can I remove brow lamination?

Brow lamination is a chemical process, similar to a lash lift or hair perm, so is not something that can be removed. However, the hairs are not fixed in place so if you don’t like the brushed up position, you can simply brush them back down with a spoolie brush and they will stay in place all day. The results will fade after 6-8 weeks and your brows will return to their natural growth pattern.

What do you put on eyebrows after lamination?

It is strongly recommended that you apply a conditioning serum twice daily after brow lamination to maintain healthy, hydrated eyebrow hairs. You wouldn’t undergo a chemical treatment on your hair without conditioning and caring for it, and your brows should be no different. The HD Brows Brow Miracle Daily Conditioner is ideal as it not only strengthens and conditions the hairs, but also prolongs the wear of your eyebrow tint. You can also use the SOS Rescue Brow Balm as an intensive overnight treatment to keep brows in tip top conditioner (think of it as a hair mask for your brows).

What should I not do after brow lamination?

Here’s what not to do after your brow lamination treatment:

  • Do not get the brows wet for 24 hours
  • Do not use sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours
  • Do not touch or rub the treated area for 24 hours after your treatment
  • Do not exfoliate or apply anti-ageing skincare or tanning products around the brows for three days after your treatment
  • Do not forget to apply your conditioning serum twice daily

Stick to these rules for the very best results.

Can I fake tan after eyebrow tint?

Fake tan is a big no-no both before and after an eyebrow tint. The tan can react with the tint, turning your custom-mixed brow dye into an unflattering shade of green. Therefore, we advise against applying any tanning products, be it a professional spray tan, self tanner or gradual tan moisturisers, for three days either side of your treatment.

If you really, really wish to tan, apply a barrier of SOS Rescue Brow Balm (or other multi-purpose skin balm) to the hair and around the brow area prior to tanning to reduce the risk of discolouration.

It’s also worth noting that waxing treatments will remove any fake tan that’s on the skin, leaving you with a paler patch around your brows.
